Larissa O'Brien earned a Bachelor of dance from the University of Melbourne, Victorian college of the arts and performed professionally for several years before becoming a Pilates instructor.
She originally certified with the Australian Pilates method association in 2004 and has since graduated from the prestigious 'Pilates center's' Advanced teacher training program and Masters program. In 2017 she also became a licensed teacher trainer for 'The Pilates Center' which allows her to advise and examine trainees of their programs.
'The Pilates center's' teacher training program was created under the guidance of Pilates elder Romana Kryzanowska and was one of the first formalised training programs in the industry. It is one of the most respected and comprehensive programs worldwide and has been referred to as the 'Harvard of Pilates teacher training'
Larissa is also a post graduate of the Kathy Grant heritage training under the tutelage of second generation teacher Cara Reeser.
Larissa is an enthusiastic and highly committed teacher who is eager to share her experience and passion for the Pilates method with others. Larissa enjoys working with clients of all levels and abilities but finds it extremely rewarding to explore the work in more depth with teachers and trainees.
